Snowpolis’ leadership role in collecting Finnish sports facility construction expertise for the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics.
Finpro has named Snowpolis to be the leader of Finnish construction expertise in the sports facility construction project at the Sochi 2014 winter Olympics. Snowpolis’ task is to put together a group of professionals who can carry out this construction project.
”Snowpolis was chosen for this task, because we have expert knowledge in professional sports, winter sports and technology related to these fields.” stated line manager Seppo Romppainen.
The technological park’s know-how is based on the fact that it is located where there is top-level sports performance facilities and knowledge related to snow construction.

This leadership role on important because it works in co-operation with companies that work in large international fields, such as Pöyry Architech, KPM Engineering as well as Ficote Group.
Finpro has gathered together Finnish businesses that are participating in the Sochi Winter Olympics construction project from different areas of expertise. These fields include: infrastructure, roadwork and steel construction, catering services and sports facility construction.
