Functional health products are a growing trend

Snowpolis develops wellbeing products

The demand for functional health food and other wellbeing products is expected to increase in the food sector. Consequently, the nutrition research services provided by Finnish Technology Park Snowpolis are extremely topical and popular. The park’s facilities are well suited to the product development and testing needs of companies operating in the field.

Snowpolis will introduce its operations at the international NutraSport 2009 exhibition in Moscow, Russia, in September together with Oriola KD Corporation, a company based in Espoo, Finland. The main purpose of their presence is to find a Russian partner and to establish a distribution network for Oriola’s sports drink, Dexal. Finnish products are expected to do well in Russia, where there is high demand and promising marketing opportunities for high-quality sports drinks.

The lecturers and Snowpolis’ partners at the NutraSport 2009 exhibition, which will be held at the Moscow Expocentre between 28th and 30th September, include Adama Sesay from the University of Oulu’s biotechnology laboratory and Patrik Borg from the UKK Institute.
